The Chambers of Baking and Milling met with Minister John Steenhuisen, the Minister of Agriculture, at Parliament to discuss pertinent industry issues.

The production of bread was not isolated from challenges caused by world and domestic events. The marginally lower production recorded for the 12 months ending 31 May 2024 reflects the current hardship, says the Chairman of the South African Chamber of Baking (SACB), Johan Niemand.
